My Wake Up Call (8/13/2020)

This day is one I will never forget. No matter how far I thought I could run from GOD or give up and live my life as a backslidden Christian. I learned this day that even when we turn our back on GOD, He won't do the same to us. The Bible says in Hebrews 13:5 "Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee." True to His word, He never left me or forsook me and He was about to show me.

I was driving home from work and I was listening to the press conference about the peace deal between Israel and the United Arab Emirates. When all of a sudden the words "Get Ready, It's Coming" blurted out of my mouth. It was my voice but not my words if that makes sense. I was a little shaken and thinking where did that come from. At this time I was driving in the left lane and I noticed a pickup owned by one of the contract companies from work that was in the right lane a couple of car lengths ahead of me. I moved over to the right lane behind that pickup to gather my thoughts about what just happened. That's when I saw the pickup's license plate it said 492-666. I was extremely shaken now, years ago I signed up for an account online and 492 was the random number that was tacked on to the end of my name and I've used that number ever since. At this point, I’m saying “Lord you’re trying to tell me something.” As I continued to drive with my mind still reeling I came up behind a service van and I saw the last part of the phone number, it was 666. That’s when I said, “OK, Lord message received.”

I believe that this was my Damascus Road moment. My life has been completely transformed since this happened and my eyes are firmly fixed on the Kingdom of GOD.
